Villanova University was founded in 1842 by the Order of St. Augustine. Student success is the focus and measure of everything we do. CWU educates students from all corners of the state. Our name is regional, but our students are not. Students choose CWU to avoid the anonymity of big schools. Our students live and learn on a close-knit campus in an historic college town. Classes are small enough that professors know students by name and engage them directly in research as undergraduates. Western Oregon University (WOU) is a mid-sized public university located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon; just 20 minutes west of Salem, an hour to both Portland and Eugene, and under an hour to the Oregon Coast. WOU has a College of Education and a College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in addition to graduate programs in several areas of study and a continuing education program.
