Boston, MA based Emerson college appointed William Gilligan as Emerson college
Emerson College is internationally recognized as the nation’s premier institution of higher learning devoted to communication and the arts.
In Dr. Gilligan's 24 years at Emerson, he has served in a number of capacities, starting as a faculty member in the newly created Division of Computer Applications and Mathematics in 1984. In 1991, he assumed administrative responsibilities, and was made Vice President for Information Technology in 1999. He oversees the Television, Radio and Film Production department and WERS-FM among others. Dr. Gilligan has earned a BA from Boston College, an MS from the University of New Hampshire, and an Ed.D from Boston University.
