In 2009, Wade Sendall was named VP of IT at the Boston Globe. Under his leadership, the Globe has employed a new content management system that brings multi-media capabilities into one consolidated system. Sendall is currently focused on building out the support processes for the Globe’s 24/7 content publishing. Sendall joined the Globe in 2000 as the director of content and development for the publishing group. He managed many system installations including CCI, PPI, Merlin and Newsengin. In addition, he was assigned as the project manager for the corporate wide installation of SAP at the New York Times, where he led the advertising SAP installation for three years. Previously, Wade was the VP of installations and training for Atex, Inc. He worked at Atex for 16 years in a variety of roles ranging from hardware installation and project management to senior management. While at Atex, Wade became acquainted with the Boston Globe while spending two years as the project manager for the Globe’s first editorial pagination implementation. Sendall holds a B.S. in applied physics from Stockton State College of New Jersey and attended Penn State University in the M.E. program.
