The Life Sciences Institute is a multi-disciplinary research institute at the University of Michigan, strategically located between the medical campus and the central-campus schools and colleges. Our mission is to advance the understanding of the fundamental processes of life, and to pioneer new ideas to improve human health.

Founded in 1871, Elmhurst is a private, four-year college affiliated with the United Church of Christ. The curriculum combines liberal learning and professional preparation to equip students for lifelong learning, service and achievement. Our campus is a gathering place for the dynamic interaction of diverse people. We have a simple but resonant phrase for what happens here: the Elmhurst Experience. The phrase refers to a contemporary framing of liberal learning. Its hallmarks are student self-formation and early professional preparation. Its goal is to educate the whole student for life in a global society. This innovative model of higher education does much more than impart information to students. It also stimulates reflection, develops insights, challenges assumptions and sharpens judgments. It asks students to expand well beyond their comfort zones, through study abroad, service learning and rigorous collaborative research with faculty. It seeks the full realization of human potential. The College offers more than 50 majors and 15 graduate programs. It boasts a student-to-faculty ratio of 13:1. The average class has 16 students; the largest class, about 35 students. By keeping our classes small, we promote discussion and inspire exploration. Our robust academic environment is just the start of the Elmhurst Experience. Beyond the classroom, our students get plenty of opportunities to put their passions and talents into action—in more than 100 campus activities, including 19 athletic teams. Our teams participate in NCAA Division III and have won conference championships in five sports over the last decade.
Founded as Collège du Sacré-Coeur in 1913, it was the first, and for many years the only, institution of higher learning in Northern Ontario. In 1957, it changed its name and began to exercise its full teaching and degree-granting powers. It entered into the Laurentian Federation as a founding member in 1960. The University of Sudbury is a bilingual university based in the tradition of its founding Jesuit Fathers, and committed to promoting the traditions and culture of the First Nations. Inspired by the Jesuit philosophy of education (the formation of the whole person in service to community), the University of Sudbury also has a special commitment to community engagement and service to others. The University of Sudbury`s mission consists of four commitments: to promote the search for truth and meaning, ecumenical and inter-faith relations, bilingualism and a deeper appreciation of Aboriginal culture and traditions. The University offers courses in Philosophy, Indigenous Studies, Religious Studies, Folklore and Études journalistiques – all of which are accredited towards a Laurentian University degree. The Library`s holdings and services support each of those programs. The Lucien Matte Residence is a "home away from home" for a community of 180 students. The Director of Spiritual Services organizes activities and fosters a stimulating environment for personal growth through community engagement in an ecumenical and inter-faith setting. Native elders also enhance the university experience of students by providing support services from an Aboriginal perspective. The University`s chapel is home to the St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, a community of the Diocese of Sault-Ste-Marie, and also serves as a place for ecumenical and multi-faith worship and meditation.
Ranken Technical College is a private technical college in St. Louis, Missouri. It offers programs in five main divisions: Automotive, Electrical, Construction, Information Technology, and Manufacturing. The school has a student body consisting of approximately 2,300 students.
