Bell County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. It is part of the Killeen–Temple–Fort Hood Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2000, the population was 237,974 (however, 2008 estimates place the population at 285,084 according to the U.S. Census Bureau and the Texas Data Center). Its county seat is Belton.
