I find that not only does it feel unsavory, it rarely works. The Golden Rule always works. I love results driven behavior, and remind myself of this rule often. When I am truly curious about individuals, about their lives, their work and personal motivations it connects me to them in a more meaningful way. Often those individual connections don`t appear to have any relevance to the work I am doing. However, consistently those people connect with me because they need something or even more astonishing they want to help me in some way.
