The American Humane® Certified program provides third-party, independent verification that a certified producer`s care and handling of farm animals meet the ethical, science-based standards established by the American Humane Association. Certification doesn`t happen in a day. The audit is comprehensive, covering 200 separate items including diet, living conditions and natural behaviors.
