Over 570,000 residents call Anne Arundel County home due to the area`s superior quality of life on the Chesapeake Bay, a rich heritage, and proximity to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The county boasts diverse communities, numerous attractions, educational and employment opportunities and several amenities. With over 533 miles of coastline, Anne Arundel County is known for boating, fishing, crabbing, water skiing, sailing and swimming. For nature lovers, there are two State parks, four regional parks, 95 community and neighborhood parks, 119 school recreation parks, two sports complexes, and 34 special use areas, including an ice rink, aquatic center, recreation center and boat ramps. The County also offers numerous greenways, including the Anne Arundel County Trails that is an extensive network of recreation and transportation trails that include the B&A Trail, BWI Trail, Broadneck Peninsula Trail, and WB&A Trail, enjoyed by hundreds of walkers, runners, bicyclists and equestrians.
The State Personnel Office is responsible for the administration and oversight of the classified service personnel system which consists of approximately 18,000 state employees from approximately 68 executive state agencies, boards and commissions. A comprehensive system of human resource management is achieved through the integration of five functional areas which are administered by the State Personnel Director with oversight by a five-member State Personnel Board. The primary responsibility of the Career Services Bureau is to ensure compliance with the State Personnel Act and the State Personnel Board (SPB) Rules which require the “certification of the highest standing candidates to prospective employers (10-9-13 F.).” Since November 2011, the State Personnel Office (SPO) has utilized the NEOGOV application system for management of recruitment for all classified positions.

Department of Legal Affairs for the State of Florida. A native of Tampa, Pam Bondi became Florida`s 37th Attorney General after being elected on November 2, 2010. Attorney General Bondi was sworn in to office January 4, 2011. Attorney General Bondi is focused on protecting Floridians and upholding Florida`s laws and the Constitution. Some of her top priorities are: defending Florida`s constitutional rights against the federal health care law; strengthening penalties to stop pill mills; aggressively investigating mortgage fraud and Medicaid fraud; and ensuring Florida is compensated for Deepwater Horizon oil spill losses. Transparency and openness in government have been important throughout her career, and Attorney General Bondi continues to support Florida`s Sunshine laws. Attorney General Bondi is dedicated to serving her community, including her membership on the Board of The Spring, Tampa`s domestic violence shelter. In her role as Attorney General, she serves on the Special Olympics Florida Board of Directors and is proud to promote their mission of assisting people with disabilities with being productive and respected members of our communities.
