The Governor of Nevada is the chief magistrate of the U.S. state of Nevada, the head of the executive department of Nevada`s state government and the commander-in-chief of the state`s military forces. The governor has a duty to enforce state laws, and the power to either approve or veto bills passed by the Nevada Legislature, to convene the legislature at any time, and, except in cases of treason or impeachment, to grant pardons and reprieves.
Under the leadership of Auditor Suzanne Bump, the Office of the State Auditor is committed to ensuring that every dollar given to state government is a dollar well spent and that state agencies and contractors follow the rules when spending public funds. The mission of the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is to protect the health and wellness of the people in Illinois through the prevention, health promotion regulation, and the control of disease and injury.
