About the Person

Mr. Goldstein is head of BlackRock’s Institutional business and BlackRock Solutions, and is a member of BlackRock’s Global Executive and Operating Committees.

Mr. Goldstein has played a key role in developing and providing innovative products and services to large institutional investors around the world. Prior to his current position, Mr. Goldstein was the head of BlackRock Solutions. He began his career in 1994 as an analyst in BlackRock’s Portfolio Analytics Group and then started working as a risk advisor to mortgage and insurance clients. In that role, he was involved in the development of the infrastructure and processes used to model and analyze client portfolios. Over time, his responsibilities expanded to include building the client service, business development and implementation capabilities of BlackRock Solutions.

Mr. Goldstein was named to Fortune's 2012 40 Under 40, and to the Institutional Investor "Tech 40" as one of the top technology entrepreneurs in financial services. He co-authored "Nonagency Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities" (The Handbook of Fixed Income Securities, 8th Edition) and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and meetings. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Battery Conservancy. Mr. Goldstein earned a BS degree, magna cum laude, in economics from Binghamton University in 1994.
