About the Person

In February 2014, Ram Chandrashekar was promoted to Executive Vice President of Operational Excellence and IT and President of Asia Pacific Middle East region. In this role, Chandrashekar is charged with driving operational excellence around the world, leading the global IT evolution and growing the Asia Pacific Middle East region. Chandrashekar was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence and IT in November 2012. He has implemented a rigorous metric-oriented framework to drive operational excellence and worked with operations worldwide to improve performance globally. Chandrashekar continues to lead the global IT transformation to implement technologies that will help the company serve clients and candidates better and faster, and drive more value from the organization’s global IT assets. Chandrashekar joined ManpowerGroup in 2008 as Chief Operating Officer for the Asia Pacific region where he strengthened operational discipline and improved the region’s results significantly. Chandrashekar served as Executive Sponsor for a number of key initiatives including implementation of shared services, formulation of the Experis brand strategy and the roll-out of Borderless Talent Solutions globally. Before joining ManpowerGroup, Chandrashekar was Chief Operating Officer of the Sterling Infotech Group of companies, which had diversified interests in high growth sectors such as communication, media, renewable energy, realty and food in different parts of the world. At Sterling, he built the Group's telecom business which comprised of mobile telephony, wireless broadband, enterprise services and telecom consulting, and grew them to market leadership positions. Chandrashekar also contributed to start-ups in renewable energy, realty and food. Prior to Sterling Infotech, Chandrashekar had worked with global consulting firms, Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen, in the US and India. Chandrashekar holds dual Masters Degrees including Master of Professional Accounting from Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA and Master of Commerce from the University of Madras, India. Chandrashekar has served as Executive Council Member of Cellular Operator Association of India and Internet Service Providers Association of India and as Member of Indo American Chamber of Commerce and American Business Council, Chennai. He currently resides in Singapore.
