About the Person

Patty Morrison is Executive Vice president, Customer Care Shared Services and Chief Information Officer of Cardinal Health, a Fortune 21 health care products and services company dedicated to improving the cost-effectiveness of health care. In this role, Morrison is responsible for the company's enterprise-wide information technology. She is also responsible for the Customer Contact Centers and Contracts and Pricing.  Previously, Morrison was EVP and CIO for Motorola, where she oversaw all strategic, operational and financial aspects of the company's information technology architecture, systems, tools, processes and infrastructure. Her prior experience also includes CIO of Office Depot, Inc.; and senior-level information technology positions at General Electric Co., PepsiCo, Inc., The Procter & Gamble Co. and The Quaker Oats Co. Morrison's reach within the IT and business community has spanned 30 years, across five different industries. She has broad expertise in managing complex, multi-business shared services. A respected and experienced IT professional, she was named 2007 CIO of the Year by the Executive's Club of Chicago and the Association of Information Technology Professionals. She was also inducted to the CIO Magazine Hall of Fame in 2008. She has dedicated her career to using technology to solving business problems. Morrison was recently named to the board of directors of Splunk, a tech start-up founded to make machine data accessible, usable and valuable to everyone. She also serves as a member of the board of directors for the Columbus Museum of Art, TechColumbus and serves on the board of trustees for Opera Columbus. Prior to the company going private in 2010, she was a board member for JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts. Morrison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and statistics and a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio graduating summa cum laude in 1980. She is married to Gary Tiesenga and has two sons; Brandon Morrison and his wife Christina Warycha and Christopher Morrison. In her free time, Patty enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends and attending sporting events.
