About the Person
Otto Berkes is a former technology executive at HBO and at Microsoft Corp.s Xbox business. Berkes, 52 years old, most recently was chief technology officer for Time Warner’s HBO business. But he resigned from that post in recent months after HBO scrapped a project he had spearheaded to create a Netflix-like digital-video service. Mr. Berkes, who in 18 years at Microsoft helped launch the Xbox videogame system, also has deep experience in corporate technologies including a Microsoft operating system, Windows NT, for commercial workstations and servers. At CA, Mr. Berkes will be responsible for honing the company’s strategy and technologies to give corporate clients the tools they need to provide better digital services for their customers, and to make their businesses more efficient.
