Mark M. Little, Ph.D. serves as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at General Electric Company. Dr. Little has been Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at GE Global Research since October 2005. Dr. Little serves as Member of Executive Board at Omnyx, LLC. He served as Vice President of GE Energys power-generation segment headquartered in Schenectady, New York since 1994. He joined General Electric Co. in 1978, starting out in General Electric Co's Turbine business, held several management positions in engineering and served as Product General Manager of generators since 1989. Dr. Little served as Senior Vice President and Director of Global Research at General Electric Co. since October 2005.Since 1991, he served as General Manager of Business Development at GE Energy and was responsible for strategic planning and joint venture development. Since 1992, he served as Product General Manager of gas turbines. He served as a Director of B456 Systems, Inc. (formerly, A123 systems Inc.) since April 2009. He assumed responsibility for the large turbine generator segments of power generation in 1997, and in 2004 he was appointed to lead the combined thermal, wind and hydro power generation group. He has been Director at GE Global Research since October 2005. He served as Director of Business Council of New York State Inc. Dr. Little holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in mechanical engineering from Tufts and Northeastern universities respectively and earned a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
