Role Summary/Purpose The Chief Information Officer (CIO) leads the digital infrastructure required to drive to a $1 billion software company.
The successful candidate will analyze the business needs and work in partnership with the business leadership teams to
create IT programs that are responsive, innovative and adapt tools to the external
environment required for growth.
Essential Responsibilities
Determine global information and technology needs, then define and lead implementation and maintenance strategies to meet those needs in an integrated way
Drive business IT efforts and lead process excellence strategy to support simplification efforts
Works with key constituents to drive IT improvements in development, performance, and quality - Develop long and short-range information system plans for GEIP software
Drive the prioritization, budgeting and resource planning of IT to support business objectives and key initiatives – own budget and all related costs of the team
Lead programs for the commercial teams to provide capabilities and digital tools to optimize commercial information flow and sales effectiveness.
Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team developing business strategy and setting the IT infrastructure agenda needed for the company`s commercial transformation and most effective cost to serve
Responsible for management activities including recruiting, development, performance management, compensation, organization and teaming
Act as GE-wide thought leader for commercial software infrastructure implementations, working with the Software COE and businesses to help standardize commercial cloud solutions
Assure quality products by providing leadership to the organization in total management quality techniques
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor degree in Information Systems or related discipline
10+ years of progressive Information Technology or Software managerial experience
Willingness to travel 30%+

Post graduate in related field / discipline or MBA
Proven ability to maintain budgets while driving change in key technologies
Clear understanding of critical application and infrastructure needs as it relates to GE environment and business / region models
Proven track record of effectively managing and delivering multiple, complex projects
Executive level presentation skills
Strong oral and written communication skills – comfort with speaking to broad and large audiences
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills – experience building strong, cross-functional collaborative environments
