Harris-Stowe State University`s primary mission, as set forth in Senate Bill 153, is to address the higher education needs of the metropolitan St. Louis region. Toward the fulfillment of this mandate, the University offers a solid General Education curriculum, which serves as the foundation for the University`s various baccalaureate programs in three broad professional areas, including baccalaureate degree programs in business, education, and arts and sciences. In addition, the University is thoroughly committed to meeting to the greatest extent possible the needs of a student population that is diverse in age, culture, ethnicity and experiential backgrounds. In short, Harris-Stowe State University is strongly committed to providing a high-quality higher education experience that is both affordable and accessible to the diverse populations within and beyond the metropolitan St. Louis region. Manchester Community College, founded in 1963, is an open admission college, offering over 75 associate in science and associate in art degrees, and certificates. Student enrollment is approximately 15,000 (full and part time, credit and credit-free).

The Ventura County Community College District is a public community college district serving residents in Ventura County. The District`s three colleges-Moorpark, Oxnard, and Ventura-offer programs for transfer to four-year colleges and universities, occupational and vocational training, basic skills instruction, as well as economic development and continuing education for cultural growth, life enrichment, and skills improvement. Each of the colleges provides a wide range of general programs and services to students, as well as focusing on its own unique and specialty areas. As of Fall 2013, VCCCD served 31,995 students.
