Founded in 1946, Mohawk Valley Community College is a public, co-educational, two-year institution. The College is a unit of the sixty-four campus State University of New York System (SUNY). MVCC provides accessible, high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of its students. As the community`s college, MVCC is committed to student success through partnerships, transfer and career pathways, and personal enrichment. The College, which spans two campuses – one in Utica and another in Rome – offers 90 degree and certificate options for its enrollment of 6,000 full- and part-time students. MVCC also serves an additional 6,000 people through its corporate and community education programs, and its campuses welcome more than 50,000 people annually for community events. Today, American National University has developed into a master`s-level career college offering more than 45 academic programs through 31 community-based campuses in six states. Evolution 2086 guides our development to continue meeting the workforce needs for the 21st century and beyond. Today`s workforce demands career education at increasingly higher degree levels, which we will meet with additional master`s and doctoral programs. We will serve additional communities in additional states with local campuses. We will expand and explore additional teaching methodologies, including online delivery, hybrid courses, and open-enrollment online courses.
