About the Person

Kurt Steege, who joins the company as the Chief Technology Officer. Kurt brings 20+ years of IT experience to the ThunderCat team.   Prior to joining ThunderCat, Kurt was the Chief Information Officer of MacAndrews and Forbes Inc., a diverse global holding company, based in New York City. During his time there he led a complete transformation of the IT environment and brought the company a modern, secure, and standardized infrastructure upon which the business can depend. Kurt also created, maintained, and negotiated enterprise level contracts not only for the parent company but at an enterprise level across all affiliate companies.   Prior to MacAndrews and Forbes Inc., he was the Chief Enterprise Architect at the FBI. In this role he was responsible for establishing the Information Technology vision and strategy for the FBI's Information Technology Branch. Under Kurt's leadership at the FBI the EAPO created roadmaps for IT transformation, strategic direction for shared services, mobile platforms, enterprise storage, and user experience in addition to design of enterprise-class solutions.   Over the rest of his 20+ year career in Information Technology, Kurt has held positions with EMC, Lehman Brothers, Instinet, as well as consulted within many different industries to help drive value and efficiency into small, medium, and large organizations.
