Joseph C. Spagnoletti, also known as Joe, has been the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Campbell Soup Co., since August 1, 2008. Mr. Spagnoletti served as a Member of Management Board at GS1. He has more than 20 years of IT and management experience. He joined Campbell in 1997 as Director of IT and Food Service and has held positions of increasing responsibility in global sales and marketing, supply chain, and research and development. He served as Vice President for IT of Campbell North America, where he successfully led several key projects, including the implementation of a trade management system and oversight of North American SAP implementations. Prior to Campbell, he spent seven years as an Information Technology Director at Becton Dickinson and was responsible for the medical device and acute care businesses. Mr. Spagnoletti started his IT career at Hospital Computer Systems and also worked at CIC/DISC. He serves on the Campbell Soup Foundation, the Cooper Health System’s Audit and Ethics Committee, the Temple University Fox School of Business Advisory Board and the Board of Governors of the Academy of Food Marketing at St. Joseph’s University. He serves as Trustee of Cooper University Hospital. He began his career developing and implementing financial systems for a New York City software development firm. He is the sponsor of Campbell's OPEN affinity network for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees; the Human Resources Council named Campbell one of the "Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality" in 2012. In 2004, he was recognized with Campbell's Influence With Honor leadership award. His recent industry achievements include: Computerworld Top 100 Places to Work in IT, 2010 and 2012; Temple Fox School of Business IT Leader of the Year Award, 2011; and Top 50 Distinguished CIOs, 2012. Mr. Spagnoletti earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and mathematics from Albright College in 1986.
