About the Person
Jorg F. Debatin, MBA, has been the Chief Technology Officer for GE Healthcare and Vice President for GE Healthcare at General Electric Company since September 2014. Dr. Debatin serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of amedes Holding AG. He joined the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf as Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer in November 2003. In April 2006, he was elected as the federal leadership of the Economic Advisory Council, Germany. He was elected as Deputy Presiding Officer of the state's party in January 2007 by The Economic Advisory Council of the National Association Hamburg. Since 1993 he served as Senior Physician of the University Hospital Zürich, where he lead the MR area. He served as a Professor in August 1999 and was appointed hospital Director for diagnostic and interventional radiology at University Hospital Essen. He serves as a Member of Supervisory Board at VANGUARD AG. He received his Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Governance (‘Executive MBA’) at the University of St. Gallen. He studied Medicine at the University of Heidelberg. After his licensure as a Doctor in 1987, residency training took place in diagnostic radiology at the Duke University Medical Center. He received the American specialist degree, a Fellowship in 'abdominal imaging' followed in 1992 at Stanford University.
