Washington, DC-based US Department of Housing and Urban Development has announced the Resignation of Jerry Williams as Chief Information Officer

As the CIO of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Jerry E. Williams provides direction, oversight, and management of the Department`s IT activities. Mr. Williams previously served as the deputy CIO at the Department of the Interior (DOI) where he was responsible for ensuring that DOI met all of its IT requirements in Security, Architecture, IT Capital Investment Planning, and Records Management. Prior to serving as the deputy CIO at DOI, Mr. Williams was the Director of Financial Management for the Director of National Intelligence, where he led all financial management activities for the Intelligence Community (IC). Mr. Williams has also served as the acting CIO and deputy CIO of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the acting CIO for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Before joining SBA, Mr. Williams served as the Chief of the Federal Financial Management Systems Branch at the Office of Management and Budget, where he led a government-wide program responsible for ensuring effective and efficient Federal financial systems. He began his Federal career with the Department of Defense in 1984. Mr. Williams attended Cheyney University and Troy University majoring in Accounting and Public Administration.
