About the Person

James Duckens started his state career in 1988 with the Department of General Services as a programmer and then served as a project oversight manager with the Department of Information Technology from 1998 to 2002. He also held various IT leadership roles at the Department of Finance from 2002 to 2010. Duckens served as a project manager for the Receiver from 2010 to 2011, and prior to joining the Transportation Agency, he was with the Office of Systems Integration and served as the project director for the EDD’s Unemployment Insurance Modernization Project. Duckens hold a bachelor’s degree in Information Management Systems from the University of San Francisco and is a certified Project Manager with the Project Management Institute.
