We will fulfill this plan by: • providing and supporting an education system which will produce a suitably trained and educated work force with the development of the Career Center High School, Early College High School, and the Appalachian State University Center on the Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute campus. This educational system creates a more seamless delivery to students of all ages. Caldwell County strongly endorses a more rigorous and relevant curriculum that forms the foundation on which we • develop a stable and viable economy of industry, retail, and commerce by utilizing our Economic Development Grant Program. The County acknowledges the challenges of a knowledge-based economy which requires a strong leadership role in all potential economic development projects that will • support job retention and job creation through diversification in new and expanding businesses such that Caldwell County citizens can realize the “American Dream”. The American Dream not only includes home ownership but also a clean and green environment. Development of a bio-mass/alternative fuel initiative will improve the quality of air while the construction of a water reservoir in the Yadkin River Valley will provide a greater abundance of clean water.
Located in the Southeast corner of Wisconsin along the shores of Lake Michigan, Racine County is conveniently close to both Milwaukee and Chicago. We boast lakefront beaches and gently rolling hills, vibrant urban areas and peaceful rural retreats, manufacturing companies, high tech businesses and modern farms and our citizens enjoy great health care, education and other services. We are the fifth most populous county in Wisconsin and our diverse and welcoming citizens are proud of our history and busy building our future.
With a population of more than 450,000 people, Lucas County is located in northwest Ohio and is approximately 344 square miles in size. From the county seat in Toledo (Ohio`s fourth largest city), Lucas County operates 47 separate agencies and elected offices, employs more than 4,400 people in 21 buildings throughout the county. The core purpose of Lucas County`s IS Department (LCIS) is to enable local government to increase and improve levels of service to the taxpayer while lowering delivery costs.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is North America`s largest transportation network, serving 8.6 million customers a day in New York City, Long Island, southeastern New York State, and Connecticut – equivalent to one in every three public transit customers in the country. MTA Bridges and Tunnels carry more than 280 million vehicles a year – more than any bridge and tunnel authority in the nation. As the MTA continues to improve and expand under its $30 billion 2015-2019 Capital Program, we are seeking skilled applicants to us help accelerate critical improvements to our century-old subway system to better serve New York in the 21st century.
California`s Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) brings together the state`s recycling and waste management programs and continues a tradition of environmental stewardship. Through landmark initiatives like the Integrated Waste Management Act and Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act, California works toward a society that uses less, recycles more, and takes resource conservation to higher and higher levels. Our state leads the nation with an approximate 65 percent diversion rate for all materials, and today recycling supports more than 140,000 green jobs in California. CalRecycle`s vision is to inspire and challenge Californians to achieve the highest waste reduction, recycling and reuse goals in the nation. Through innovation and creativity, sound advancements in science and technology, and efficient programs that improve economic vitality and environmental sustainability, we build a stronger California.
