The Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community comprises two distinct Native American tribes—the Pima and the Maricopa —many of whom were originally of the Halchidhoma tribe. The community was officially created by an Executive Order of US President Rutherford B. Hayes on June 14, 1879.

Our infrastructure also supports the economic vitality of the community we serve. Twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, our experts work as a team to take away and clean the dirty water created by Northern Kentucky residents when they flush, brush and shower, and the storm water that collects during rains or snow thaws. We work with partners across our region and beyond to find innovative and cost-effective solutions for our community.
