About the Person

Eric Feng is a General Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. He is a managing member for its venture team and will focus on early-stage consumer companies. He serves as Venture Partner at Amasia. Mr. Feng serves as Chief Technology Officer at Flipboard, Inc. Mr. Feng was previously a Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), where he was Tech Advisor to Vice President and was working on the consumer and sustainability venture teams. He joined KPCB in clean-technology and greentech practice in July 2010. Mr. Feng also managed KPCB`s fund and supported efforts to increase awareness of the climate crisis and helping companies build consumer since February 7, 2013. Mr. Feng founded Erly Inc. in 2011 and has served as its Chief Executive Officer. He is a Special Advisor at Cowboy Ventures. He is a technologist and product leader who helps in evaluating potential investments and is a sounding board and advisor to portfolio companies. He founded Mojiti, LLC and served as its Chief Executive Officer. He has cutting-edge and entrepreneurial experience from various video technology sectors. Mr. Feng founded Hulu, LLC and served as its Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Audience. He was responsible for the design and implementation of the Hulu user experience. At Hulu, Mr. Feng led a centralized technology, product management and design team in the United States and Beijing, where he was responsible for the development and operations of all products and services. At Hulu, he built Hulu.com, Hulu Desktop, and Hulu Plus serving more than 40 million unique users monthly, content and distribution platforms used by more than 200 premium content providers, and advertising and reporting services used by more than 400 leading internet and digital media technologies. His past experience also includes several years at Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft Research Asia in technology leadership roles; Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, where he served as a Visiting Professor and Trilogy Software where he incubated Uberworks.com. Mr. Feng has been a Member of Advisory Board of CrunchyRoll, Inc. since January, 2013. He was awarded the IEC Everitt Award, recognizing the top graduating engineering student. Mr. Feng graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
