AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization, currently provides medical care and/or services to more than 350,000 individuals in 36 countries worldwide in the US, Africa, Latin America/Caribbean, the Asia/Pacific Region and Eastern Europe. A truly independent voice in our mission to rid the world of HIV/AIDS, AHF’s operating capital comes from our own self-created social enterprises. AHF Pharmacies, thrift stores, health care contracts and other strategic partnerships generate funding that helps AHF provide medical and advocacy services to the thousands of people it serves. Generating and defining new, innovative ways to treatment, prevention and advocacy is the hallmark of AHF’s success. It is currently embarked on a mass testing initiative to identify and treat the 25 million people who don’t know they are infected. It will take 1 billion tests annually, and AHF is advocating mass testing models in hopes of eliminating older, more time consuming methods. Since 1987, AHF has cared for thousands of people living with HIV/AIDS worldwide. As AHF creates and implements its unparalleled programs in new communities in the U.S. and abroad, we expand its delivery of healthcare and influence over policy with the sole aim of saving more lives.
The New England Aquarium is the only Boston-based cultural institution with a mission focused primarily on the environment, combining education, entertainment and action to address the ocean`s most challenging problems. More than 1.3 million visitors explore our diverse exhibits on Central Wharf on Boston’s waterfront each year. Arkansas Foodbank, the largest hunger relief organization in Arkansas, is a member of Feeding America and the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. The Foodbank offers innovative programming focused on serving hungry Arkansans with more healthy and nutritious food. Programs like Food For Kids, Food For Families, and Food For Seniors provide food and other resources for more than 400 food pantries, soup kitchens, schools, colleges, shelters, senior centers, and other agencies that provide aid directly to hungry Arkansans.
OneGoal`s mission is to close the college divide by enlisting and training our nation`s best educators to teach historically underserved high school students how to enroll in and complete college. OneGoal targets historically underserved students in low-income high schools with an average incoming GPA of 2.7 and an incoming ACT/SAT score of 15/729 to become OneGoal Fellows.
Baltimore Corps` mission is to enlist talent to foster social innovation in Baltimore and advance a citywide agenda for equity and racial justice . This is accomplished through Baltimore Corps` Fellowship and Place for Purpose program, which connect individuals with opportunities in nonprofits, government agencies, foundations, and for-profit social enterprises to build solutions to Baltimore`s biggest challenges. Baltimore Corps also provides seed grants and support to innovative leaders through its Elevation Awards, elevating community members with indigenous community solutions.
