Welcome to USDA Rural Development. We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America. Through our programs, we help rural Americans in many ways. We offer loans, grants and loan guarantees to help create jobs and support economic development and essential services such as housing, health care, first responder services and equipment, and water, electric and communications infrastructure. We promote economic development by supporting loans to businesses through banks, credit unions and community-managed lending pools. We offer technical assistance and information to help agricultural producers and cooperatives get started and improve the effectiveness of their operations. We provide technical assistance to help communities undertake community empowerment programs. We help rural residents buy or rent safe, affordable housing and make health and safety repairs to their homes.
We are very proud of where we live and work. Washington County is known for warm winter weather, snowbirds, and beautiful red rock scenery. It has been known as Utah`s Dixie since pioneers settled here in the 1850`s.
As a highly industrialized and densely populated state, yet gifted with an irreplaceable and precious complement of biodiversity and natural resources, New Jersey has had a long tradition of being a national leader in aggressively identifying and addressing new threats to public health and the environment. DEP`s mission and programs are commensurate with the diversity of urban and natural-resource character of New Jersey in that the agency is charged with ensuring protection of and public access to the State`s precious natural resources, developing and enforcing health- and ecological-based protective standards for environmental regulation, cleaning up contaminated sites and contributing to the overall quality of life for all New Jerseyans.
