The County of Santa Clara is located at the southern end of the San Francisco Bay and encompasses 1,312 square miles. Western Connecticut Council of Governments (WCCOG) is a newly created regional planning organization as of January 1, 2015, which represents eighteen cities and towns in southwestern and western Connecticut. WCCOG was formed out of the merger of the South West Regional Planning Agency (SWRPA) and the Housatonic Valley Council of Elected Officials (HVCEO).
