Security Health Plan is a health maintenance organization, part of Marshfield Clinic Health System, serving more than 230,000 members in a 41 Wisconsin counties. Security Health Plan insures employees of large and small businesses, individuals and families, and administers self-funded employer health plans. Security Health Plan is accredited through the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of health care. About the Person
Marksteiner has worked with the Security Health Plan Information Systems team since 1987, when he joined Marshfield Clinic as a programmer/analyst. He most recently served as director of Information Systems for Security Health Plan, leading the implementation of a number of major systems initiatives. “Dave’s history with Security Health Plan, his desire to help shape the future of our business, along with his demand for high-quality outcomes on projects make him an excellent choice as chief information officer,” said Julie Brussow, interim chief administrative officer for Security Health Plan. Marksteiner earned his bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and worked in Milwaukee for a number of years before joining Marshfield Clinic.
