Ben Fisher is a unique triple threat as a technology leader. An engineer and manager with a lifelong love of code, he began writing code at the age of 13 – working on his LC III, he worked with local universities discovering network security vulnerabilities. His leadership bridges the gap between the business and product needs and the engineering objectives at Waywire. At HowAboutWe.com he worked with a small committed band of engineers that drew wide attention for their new way to approach the dating space and Ruby on Rails challenges. In a big company environment, he did groundbreaking work for Comcast’s XfinityTV system, Xfinity Home Control, and Constant Guard product, working with government agencies on combatting cyberterrorism and piracy. At The Knot (XO Group), he worked closely with content publishers The Knot, Wedding Channel, and The Bump creating technology backbone for the women’s lifestyle brand. He also helped write a book on the financial crisis with Yves Smith, a financial pundit. Ben graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where he majored in Philosophy and Economics.
