About the Person
Bart HJ De Maertelaere joined Emtec in May 2013 as a Managing Director, responsible for the Infrastructure and Managed Services Practice. Prior to May 2013, Mr. De Maertelaere was a vice president at CIBER leading their Global Operations and Technology of CIBER's ITO division. Prior to CIBER, he held a number of executive roles with regional and global responsibilities at Unisys including director of the Global ITO Portfolio Management team and partner for the Unisys EMEIA Enterprise Security Practice. Prior to Unisys, Mr. De Maertelaere was country manager for HP (Belgium and Luxembourg), and was Program Manager of Telecom Fault and Service Management implementations for Europe at COMPAQ/DIGITAL. He is a recognized industry expert in the areas of infrastructure, IT service management and Portfolio Lifecycle Management. Mr. De Maertelaere received his master’s degree in Aeronautical Sciences from the Royal Military Academy in Brussels and served in the Belgian Air Force/NATO for 16 years. He also holds a post-university degree in Real Time Programming from the International Training Cell in Seigen, Germany.
