About the Person
Ajai Sehgal brings over 18 years of product and technology experience to HootSuite, most recently as vice president of product and technology at Groupon. Sehgal played a crucial role in the development of Groupon Travel, the travel arm of the group-buying website pioneer. Sehgal built a startup within a startup in the five-year-old business, transforming Groupon Travel into a scalable, e-commerce platform with integrated web and mobile products from the ground up. Prior to Groupon, Sehgal spent over a decade in senior leadership and software engineering roles at leading online travel website Expedia. As vice president of technology, Sehgal oversaw a global team of over 300 developers, software engineers and managers. Sehgal helped transform the company of 60 people from a pre-IPO startup to the world’s largest travel agency with over 14,000 global employees.
