The UNT Computing and Information Technology Center (hereafter referred to as Computing Center) operates as a service department of the University and provides shared computing resources for instruction, research, and administration. On April 20, 2012, Florida Governor Rick Scott signed SB 1994 which created Florida Polytechnic University, the state’s 12th and newest member of the State University system. The University collaborates with industry partners to offer students real-world problem-solving, work experience, and business leadership opportunities. Florida Polytechnic prepares students to assume available leadership positions in the dynamic technological landscape in Florida, the nation, and the world.
Minnesota State University, Mankato is a public four-year university located in Mankato, Minnesota. As of Fall 2015, the student body is the second largest in the state of Minnesota with over 15,000 students, with the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus ranking first. Students are served by 600 full-time faculty members creating a 28:1 student to faculty ratio. The school was founded in 1868 and is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System (MnSCU). The current President is Richard Davenport, who began his term in 2002. The athletic teams are known as the Minnesota State University Mavericks with school colors of purple and gold. Teams primarily compete at the NCAA Division II level in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The exceptions are the Men`s and Women`s ice hockey teams who compete at the NCAA Division I level, in the highly regarded Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). Minnesota State University currently offers 158 undergraduate programs of study, 82 graduate programs and is the first institution in the United States to offer a Master of Fine Arts degree
The University of Redlands is a private liberal arts and sciences university located in Redlands, California, United States. The university's main campus is situated on 160 acres (65 ha) near downtown Redlands. Founded in 1907 as a Baptist institution, the school is now independent and ended compulsory religious services in 1972, although it maintains an informal relationship with the group American Baptist Churches USA. In 2012, U.S. News and World Report ranked Redlands 11th among regional universities in the western United States, and in 2010 it was rated 7th in the western United States for its Master's degree programs. The University of Redlands had its roots in the founding of two other American Baptist institutions, California College in Oakland, and Los Angeles University. After the San Francisco earthquake of 1906 damaged the finances of California College, a Baptist commission began exploring the liquidation of both institutions to develop a new institution in Southern California. The Reverend Jasper Newton Field, a Baptist pastor at Redlands, persuaded the Redlands Board of Trade to propose a donation of at least 100,000 dollars and 40 acres (16 ha) for an interdenominational campus (on land donated by layman Mr. K.C. Wells). On June 27, 1907 the Commission voted all in favor of the Redlands proposal.
