Froedtert Health combines with the Medical College of Wisconsin to form the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health care network — made up of Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee; Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls; St. Joseph`s Hospital, West Bend; and more than 30 primary and specialty care health centers and clinics. Joining the capabilities of an academic medical center affiliated with the Medical College of Wisconsin, Froedtert & the Medical College deliver highly coordinated, cost-effective health care to residents of southeastern Wisconsin and beyond.
About the Person
William Showalter is a well-tenured information systems executive with a broad track record of success across multiple health care entities. He brings a strong background of innovation, having successfully led several significant data and analytics initiatives. Showalter previously served as senior vice president and chief information officer at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Prior to Froedtert, he was senior vice president and CIO of Mercy Health in St. Louis, and CIO of Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis. Showalter also held leadership roles with Siemens Health Services in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Showalter earned a master’s degree in public administration and urban and regional planning from the University of Pittsburgh. He will assume his duties on the Sacramento campus on Feb. 13, 2017. UC Davis retained Spencer Stuart, a health care executive search firm, to conduct a national search for the position.
