Indianapolis, IN-based Indiana University Health has Appointed William McConnell as Chief Information Officer
Established in 1997, the Indiana University Health family has grown to include an expanding network of partner hospitals across the state of Indiana. With several well-respected Centers of Excellence and a strong partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine, IU Health is a leader in health care quality, medical innovation and patient satisfaction.
McConnell has extensive experience in business management and consulting, and information systems management in the healthcare arena. Most recently, McConnell was president and CEO of an Indianapolis start-up company, FlowCo, Inc. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president of Boston Scientific Cardiac Rhythm Management in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a member of the Boston Scientific executive committee. For nine years, beginning in 1998, he served as vice president and CIO for Guidant Corporation, and from 1990 to 1996, he held the position of senior vice president and CIO, Worldwide, for Resort Condominiums International. McConnell also worked for Arthur Andersen in Indianapolis where he was a managing partner.
