About the Person
Bill joined CenturyLink in 1985, when he accepted a position in Software Development with CenturyTel (CenturyTel and EMBARQ merged in 2009 to become CenturyLink). Bill was instrumental in creating CenturyTel’s top-rated website, incorporating a site-wide self-service focus and taking the company to first place among industry peers. Faced with aggressively growing needs from an expanding customer base and changing technology, Bill established CenturyLink’s ISP offering, and was able to take it from start to operational stability within three years. With his tenure at CenturyLink spanning 24 years, Bill is responsible for overseeing all systems-related migrations and has had substantial involvement in numerous acquisitions that have transformed a small rural telephone company into a Fortune 500 Company. Bill has a degree in Computer Science from Louisiana Tech University.
