About the Company

Lucid is an industry leader and innovator in providing information feedback technology to save energy and water in buildings. The company pioneered the concept of real-time energy and water use feedback and reduction competitions with Building Dashboard and launched BuildingOS, the world’s first online operating system for energy management. Lucid’s software is used by the world’s leading companies and institutions to manage thousands of buildings with $500 million in annual energy bills. Based in Oakland, California, Lucid is a privately held software company.  

 

About the Person

Vladi Shunturov is Lucid's co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, serving in a previous position as Chief Technology Officer. Vladi co-developed Building Dashboard and managed Lucid's product and engineering teams, and laid the groundwork for BuildingOS. A recipient of prestigious national and international awards, including from the U.S. EPA and Clean Tech Open, Vladi has multiple publications in the field and has delivered many distinguished presentations, including TEDx. Prior to Lucid, he helped pioneer groundbreaking research in monitoring and display systems and real-time feedback technology. Vladi holds a BA with high honors in Environmental Studies and Computer Science from Oberlin College.
