About the Person
Umair Akeel will serve as a technology resource for all BVP portfolio companies, as well as help BVP analyze innovative technology trends and products globally. Formerly chief architect of Eloqua through its IPO and subsequent acquisition by Oracle, Umair brings 15 years of experience in technology development and leadership in building successful solutions to the position. Umair is also a repeat successful BVP cloud entrepreneur, as the firm invested in both Eloqua and his prior company, Trigo Technologies, where he was a software engineer and then a senior architect at IBM following Trigo’s acquisition.
