MPP, which was founded in January 1995, is the largest organization in the U.S. that`s focused solely on ending marijuana prohibition. MPP`s mission is to change federal law to allow states to determine their own marijuana policies without federal interference, as well as to regulate marijuana like alcohol in all 50 states, D.C., and the five territories. MPP has been responsible for changing most major state-level marijuana policy reforms since 2000. MPP is actually composed of three separate organizations — MPP, founded in 1995, is the main branch that deals with lobbying and ballot initiatives; MPP Foundation, founded in 1996, is the tax-deductible educational branch; and MPP PAC, founded in 2003, is a branch that donates to congressional candidates. In addition, MPP has state committees in the states where MPP is running ballot initiatives; these state committees are formed and closed every few years. Grace Farms Foundation was established in 2009 as a private operating foundation with 501c3 status in New Canaan, Connecticut. The Foundation supports initiatives in the areas of nature, arts, justice, community, and faith, and encourages participation on a local, national, and global level. Grace Farms Foundation carries out its work principally through the publicly available facilities and integrated programs of Grace Farms, an 80-acre property owned and operated by the Foundation, where individuals and not-for-profit organizations can come together to collaborate for good. Located in Fairfield County near the New York border, Grace Farms is a new cultural and community center encompassing 80 acres of open space. SANAA`s River is an architecturally significant building recently nominated as “2016 Building of the Year” (Architect`s Newspaper). America`s children should have equitable access to high-quality learning experiences with the federal government helping to support those most in need. The overwhelming research demonstrates that high-quality early care and education is a crucial component of a child`s healthy development. This is particularly true when one considers the role of quality early childhood education programs in offsetting sustained toxic stress and adversity often associated with living in poverty. In addition to the important health, nutrition and family economic supports that are vital to young children from birth through age five, quality early childhood education is proven to help kids from low-income families be successful in school, earn higher wages, live healthier lives, raise stronger families, and contribute to society. Unfortunately, low-income families are the least likely to have access to affordable, high-quality options for their children – particularly infants and toddlers. FFYF works to sustain and expand the support for early learning that exists at the federal level, while identifying and advancing new and innovative ways to increase access to quality early childhood education for children from low-income families. We help align best practices with the best possible policies and work with advocacy groups and policymakers on both sides of the aisle to identify federal solutions that work for children, families and taxpayers, as well as states and communities. Early childhood development is a practical, non-partisan issue—so we collaborate with a diverse and wide range of federal and state advocates, business and thought leaders, and policymakers to help build consensus and craft early childhood policies that provide lasting economic and social returns.
Founded in 2003 by Dr. Romesh Wadhwani, the Foundation’s primary mission is economic acceleration of emerging economies. The Foundation embarked upon its mission in India first, and subsequently, the Foundation has expanded into the U.S and other countries. In India, with an expected growth of 250-300 million people joining the workforce by 2022, large scale job creation has became the primary imperative for the country. Also, as India’s population grows young, most advanced nations of the world are growing old, offering India an opportunity to become the global talent supplier. Catalyzing job creation and skill development become the two primary target areas of focus for the Foundation. During the last decade, Wadhwani Foundation has launched five niche, high impact Initiatives in India. These include promoting entrepreneurial and employment skills, tapping the educated disabled, encouraging innovation and driving policy changes to jump-start economic opportunities. To address persistently high youth and displaced-worker unemployment in the U.S, Wadhwani Foundation launched the ‘Race to a Job’ initiative in 2012.
