The National Association of Federal Credit Unions is a direct membership association committed to advancing the credit union community through its relentless focus on membership value in representing, assisting, educating and informing its member credit unions and their key audiences. NAFCU was founded in 1967 out of a desire by federal credit union leaders to have an independent voice in Washington that would focus exclusively on the needs and issues of federal credit unions. Mission Health, based in Asheville, North Carolina, is the state’s sixth-largest health system and the region’s only not-for-profit, independent community hospital system governed and managed exclusively in western North Carolina.
