McCormack joins Evolve Media with fifteen years of leadership experience in technology development and operations across various industry sectors, including software service, finance, and social networking. Most recently, he served as the founding CTO for CareerArc Group, parent company of Internships.com, TweetMyJobs.com, and CareerBeam.com. Having built the technology team from the ground up, McCormack’s contributions helped catapult CareerArc’s properties into booming sites for job-seekers. Internships.com is now known as the world’s largest internship marketplace, with approximately thirty percent of all college students visiting the site within a given year. Additionally, TweetMyJobs.com pioneered the social distribution of jobs, while CareerBeam.com became the first successful virtual outplacement offering. Prior to CareerArc, McCormack served as CTO of Slingshot Labs, a technology incubator dedicated to building and developing new web ventures for News Corporation. Hired at the inception of the company, he built and managed the technology department, while helping to establish five well-trafficked web properties within the company’s first year of operation. McCormack contributes to the emerging tech community by mentoring for the USC Viterbi Startup Garage, a technology accelerator program that helps entrepreneurs to further their business and technology goals. Similarly, he serves on the advisory board for the LA CTO Forum, Southern California’s largest private network of software executives.
