About the Person

Bringing more than 30 years of experience in information technology to his latest role, Tracy Nolan has worked for several Fortune 500 companies, among them Commercial Metals, Cameron International and Merial. He also spent more than 20 years at General Electric, where he held the roles of chief technology officer, manufacturing systems leader, engineering systems leader and leader of cost reduction initiatives. In 2010, Tracy joined Commercial Metals Company as VP and Chief Information Officer. Prior to his role at CMC; Tracy was the CIO for Cameron International In Houston TX and before that he was CIO for Merial Ltd. in Duluth, GA. Tracy joined General Electric in 1983 as a senior consultant and account executive with GE’s Consulting Business. He spent over 20 years with GE in various businesses including GE Plastics, GE Silicones, GE Power Systems, and GE Corporate. He held a variety of roles with diverse responsibilities; Chief Technology Officer, Engineering Systems Leader, Manufacturing Systems Leader, Applications Development Leader, Global Employee Services Leader, and Leader of Cost Reduction Initiatives. Tracy was involved with the conception and introduction of many of GE’s world famous management techniques, such as, Workout, Business Process Re-engineering, Cost Bullet Trains, Six Sigma, and Digitization. Tracy began his career in banking as a programmer/analyst and account executive with Norstar Bancorp and State Street Bank of Boston. He is a graduate of Syracuse University with degrees in Finance & Psychology and attended GE's Management Development Institute.
