Fifth Gear's technology and administrative headquarters is in Indianapolis, IN. We operate major fulfillment and customer contact centers in Louisiana, Mo., and additional software development facilities in India.
Tom Davis serves as Acting Chief Information Officer of Information Technology Services. Davis’ extensive technical and administrative experience brings valuable insight as he helps guide IT Services in fulfilling Michigan State University’s mission of education, research, and global engagement. Specifically, Davis focuses on maximizing the effectiveness of the IT Services organization from an operational perspective. He has direct oversight of administration and planning, including facilities, budget and human resources. Additionally, he lends his technical expertise to the diverse portfolio of computing, networking and technology services which support the scholarship and business activities of the university. Committed to collaboration, Davis also assists in leading IT Services to effectively communicate with university IT staff and with the campus at large in various forums, face-to-face and online. He also represents IT Services when working with off-campus groups including alumni, parents of students, vendors, peer universities, and the media. He encourages participation in regional and national IT activities, such as meetings sponsored by the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) to facilitate working together with higher education colleagues.
