About the Company

JUULs mission is to improve the lives of the worlds one billion adult smokers by driving innovation to eliminate cigarettes. We are an exceptional team with backgrounds in consumer technology, healthcare and biotech, and we are growing to deliver on our mission. We are actively looking to hire the worlds best scientists, engineers, designers, product managers, supply chain experts, customer service and business professionals. Launched in 2015, JUUL is the number one nicotine vaporizer in the United States, selling over twenty million JUULpods a month and growing fast. Headquartered in San Francisco and backed by leading technology investors including Fidelity Investments and Tao Invest LLC, JUUL Labs is disrupting one of the worlds largest and oldest industries. James Monsees and Adam Bowen co-founded JUUL when they applied their background in product design to the problem of cigarettes. As long-time smokers, they were increasingly dissatisfied with the health and social impact of cigarettes. Finding no attractive product alternative, they recognized an opportunity to apply groundbreaking industrial design to the smoking industry, which had not materially evolved in over a century. What started as a design challenge has since become a mission to positively impact the lives of adult smokers around the globe. We believe that design, technology, and out-of-the-box thinking are the keys to eliminating cigarettes, and we are committed to innovating with adult smokers in mind. We recognize that smoking alternatives continue to be the subject of conversation. We welcome dialogue, debate and data, and will register and publish results from vapor-related research we conduct. As scientists, product designers and engineers, we believe that vaping can have a positive impact when used by smokers, and can have a negative impact when used by nonsmokers. Our goal is to maximize the positive and reduce the negative. These alternatives contain nicotine, which has not been shown to cause cancer but can create dependency. We believe that these alternatives are not appropriate for people who do not already smoke.
