As the oldest community college in New Jersey, Union has been serving both career-minded and transfer-oriented students since 1933. The College has maintained its commitment to scholarship by providing a solid liberal arts foundation while, at the same time, developing new programs and courses that meet the challenges of a rapidly developing society. The College serves more than 13,000 credit students and another 26,000 noncredit students at its campuses in Cranford, Elizabeth, and Plainfield.
The Medical College of Wisconsin, or simply MCW, is a private, freestanding medical school and graduate school of sciences located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was formerly affiliated with Marquette University, but has operated as an independent institution since 1967.[1] MCW is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (NCA) of Colleges and Schools and by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). The NCA is the accrediting body for all institutions of higher education in the College's geographic region and the LCME is the accrediting body of all US medical schools. Along with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, it is one of only two medical schools in Wisconsin, and it is the only private medical school in the state.
Catawba College was founded in Newton, North Carolina, in 1851 by the German Reformed Church. The College — which is today affiliated with the United Church of Christ — moved to its present location in Salisbury in 1925. The College endeavors to attract students both nationally and internationally of good ability and character.
