The Slippery Rock University Student Government Association, Inc. (SRSGA) is an independent corporation on campus with a roughly two-million dollar budget. SRSGA serves as the governing body to most clubs and organizations at Slippery Rock University. SRSGA recognizes over one hundred organizations and provides budgets for most. Also, SRSGA helps fund the majority of Slippery Rock Athletics, runs a Child Care facility on campus, manages the campus bus service, and owns the university book store.

Through a supporting non-profit, the Friends of Southwest Virginia, businesses and individuals help artists, craftspeople, localities, nonprofits and entrepreneurs mobilize and succeed.
