About the Person

Terrence “Terry” P. Dwyer was appointed senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) of the Long & Foster Companies in 2015. He is responsible for overseeing all technology services for Long & Foster and the company’s more than 180 sales offices, which span throughout its seven-state region and the District of Columbia. Dwyer joined Long & Foster with 27 years of experience in information technology, with 14 of those years spent in the real estate industry. Before joining Long & Foster, Dwyer operated his own IT consulting firm, Dwyer & Associates, where he assisted clients in IT planning, organization transformation, operations excellence and governance. Prior to that, Dwyer served as chief information officer of Realogy Corporation, a global provider of real estate and relocation services. He was responsible for the executive leadership and oversight of all IT activities at Realogy, as well as its additional businesses. He also previously served as the CIO at NRT, a subsidiary of Realogy Corporation that owns and operates hundreds of residential real estate offices. He also worked with Provident Companies (now Unum Corporation), The Paladin Group, Waverly, Inc., and Ernst & Young. Dwyer received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, where he also took Master’s in Business Administration courses and numerous other business and technology courses. In addition to working in IT in the real estate industry, Dwyer has served as an advisory board member mentoring technology startup firms with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) REach, and he has served as a member of NAR’s Data Privacy & Security Committee.
