About the Person

Tammy Gilbert is the vice president of information technology. She joined Trinity Industries, Inc. in 2012 and has overall responsibilities for technology strategy, implementation and IT operations. Gilbert comes from Hewlett Packard, Inc. where she held several executive positions in the America’s outsourcing services unit including vice president of transition, transformation and program management, vice president of the U.S. east services operations, account executive and director of delivery. Her primary goal was to drive transformations within customers’ IT environments to enable growth and cost efficiency. Prior to joining HP/EDS, Gilbert worked for Sabre, Inc. and American Airlines, Inc., in product development and was recruited to run the project consulting and risk management organization with a focus on ensuring major programs delivered to plan through strong risk mitigation for the technical, legal, and financial aspects of all programs. In this role, she was also responsible for developing strong program management practices and training more than 4000 individuals to drive higher quality program delivery. In her varied roles, Gilbert worked across six major industries and has both domestic and international experience. Tammy graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with a bachelor of science in computer science and concentrated studies in both physics and mathematics.
