About the Person

Stuart L. Scott, Jr., has been Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President of Technology & Engineering at JB Hunt Transport Services Inc. since January 1, 2016. Mr. Scott serves as Chief Information Officer of Tempur-Pedic International. Mr. Scott joined Tempur-Pedic in October 2009 where he leads the IT organization globally. Mr. Scott served as Chief Information Officer of GE Healthcare Limited. He served as Chief Information Officer of Microsoft Corporation, where he was responsible for the IT, Quality, and Risk Management organizations until November 2007 and served as its Corporate Vice President. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Taylor, Bean & Whitaker Mortgage Corporation (TBW) since November 2007, where he led the Mortgage Servicing, Insurance, Appraisal management and Title business units as well as the shared services functions. He serves as a Member of CIO Advisory Board at Aruvio, Inc. With his work in driving Microsoft’s IT transformation and customer relationships, Mr. Scott was recognized as one of the IT industry’s Top 50 Innovators by InformationWeek in 2007. The prior 17 years, Mr. Scott held roles at General Electric Company (GE), where he was a Corporate Vice President and served as Chief Information Officer for its Consumer, Industrial and Healthcare divisions. He was recognized by CIO Magazine as one of the Top 100 CIO’s while at GE. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science from the University of Louisville, as well as an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He is a Six Sigma certified black belt and a graduate of GE’s Leadership Development Program.
