Steven Burrell is currently the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Georgia Southern University. He has been involved in Higher Education Technology Administration since 1983, holding technology management and leadership positions at a Colorado State University, Hutchinson Community College, Plymouth State University and Saint Leo University. He has also worked for an ERP systems provider as a higher education technology consultant. Throughout his career he has provided leadership for strategic technology planning and emphasized the importance of the human aspects of technology adoption. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Sterling College (Kansas), a Masters of Education in Technology Administration from Plymouth State University (New Hampshire), a Education Specialist in Higher Education Administration and a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Georgia Southern University.
