About the Company

About the Person

As CIO, Smith will lead the City’s Technology Resources Division, which is responsible for managing the City’s computer and telecommunications networks and other information technology infrastructure. Smith has extensive experience working in both the public and private sectors, including past service as the Chief Information Officer for both Tarrant County, Texas (Fort Worth area) and Orange County, Florida (Orlando). Smith holds a Bachelors in Business Administration in management information systems from the University of Texas at Arlington. Among his many accomplishments, Smith is a past recipient of Texas’ “Public CIO of the Year” award in 2010.
